Why not visit a local ICTresources Exhibition?

"I have found it invaluable. From just a brief discussion with Anna [ICTinspires] I was directed to resources which I will purchase for my school and which I'm sure will be very well received by staff and children. An excellent use of a very short visit. Thank you to the team!"

Mrs Stevens - Headteacher St Teresa's, Rochford.

Information about ICTresources, for Schools.

At a time when schools are struggling to cope with increasing pressure on their available budgets for purchasing ICT resources, many local authorities are reducing the number of ICT advisers and consultants who traditionally have provided support and guidance to schools.

ICTresources is a unique collaborative on-line directory for schools. All of the curriculum ICT resource suppliers featured in the directory have been personally recommended by current and former LA experienced ICT curriculum advisers and consultants, working in Essex and surrounding counties in the Eastern Grid for Learning region.

In addition to understanding the specialist requirements of the educational sector, all of the suppliers in the directory offer suitable support and training for school staff, either directly or via experienced educational training partners.

The directory has been designed to enable schools to quickly find suitable suppliers for the ICT resources they require including training and ongoing support. School finance officers will also be able to quickly identify suppliers who are accredited under the Becta / DfE procurement contracts, helping them to meet EU procurement regulations.

Access to the ICTresources directory is free for schools and all Essex LA schools already have a live account. Simply click on the School Login link at the top of this page.

Information about ICTresources, for Suppliers.

Why have an entry in the directory?

School staff increasingly have less time to search for a supplier that can provide an ICT resource that they need. If you can answer yes to these two questions, you probably don't need an entry in the ICTresources directory.

  1. Would the school instantly recognise your company as a potential supplier of the ICT resource they are looking to purchase?
  2. Would the school know the name and direct contact details for your company's local sales representative?

Is your company eligible?

To maintain its quality and integrity, entry into the ICTresources directory is strictly by personal invitation and recommendation from one of our partner curriculum ICT advisers or consultants. You will also be required to provide suitable references from schools in the Eastern Grid for Learning region, to confirm your company's position, understanding and experience, in the educational sector.

You will be required to have an appropriate education support and sales helpline, and must offer suitable training, advice and support for your products, either directly or via one of the Eastern Grid for Learning's approved training service providers.

All companies must supply and publish in the ICTresources directory, full contact details of a named educational account manager covering the Eastern Grid for Learning region.

To apply for an entry into the directory, please use the Contact Us link at the top of this page.
